From childhood, we are told that the toppers of the class are very angry, they sit and study for 12 hours, 14 hours, and 16 hours may be true in some cases of genes but in college, this doesn’t need to be true, 99% of us will be such people who do not need to sit and study for 10 hours, 12 hours, 14 hours in these.

If we sit with a book for so much time then the outcome that we are expecting doesn’t need to be achieved in college, many times you must have seen such students who maybe study for 5-6 hours or just attend classes and after that, they do not study only during exam time Even after studying, they make it to the top They make it to the top three, they make it to the top.

we are going to discuss five such principles which you have to follow in your college life if you study smartly and efficiently, whether you get up in the morning and study in the evening, or study at night I am a method, you are studying sitting with friends or you are studying alone, whenever we are studying If we follow these five principles, then our studies will move up one level from hard work to smart work.

Odysseus strategy

this is a very big strategy of time Warrior He was a warrior who had fought a long war After fighting, he took all his through the sea and went back to his home on his way to the sea

There was an island. He was told That as soon as the ships pass from there, Cyrus starts playing from the island Voices start coming, which are the voices of heaven Voices are voices of heaven, of fairies Voices, came, what does that voice do, whoever Sailors are going around the ship Through the boats, it calls them towards itself and as soon as the sailors come towards the island They are The island is a trap which kills us sailors,

so Odysseus already knew this so he devised a strategy, what strategy did he devise? he told all his sailors to keep their ears closed during the entire journey and the other thing he had to do was that the Odysseus was very curious so he had to listen to the siren what did he do to hear the siren? He told his sailors to lock his ration on top of the ship and he locked himself in it and gave strict instructions that no matter how much I begged and no matter how much I requested I must not open my ration at all and his sailors did not want to open it

What strategy did he devise?

he told all his sailors to keep their ears closed during the entire journey and the other thing he had to do was that the Odyssey was very curious so he had to listen to the siren what did he do to hear the siren? He told his sailors to lock his ration on top of the ship and he locked himself in it and gave strict instructions that no matter how much I begged and no matter how much I requested I must not open my ration at all and his sailors did not want to open it. as soon as his shift started passing near the silent

Sirens started passing from their Voices started coming, it was a very sweet voice but then Even Sailor paid attention to it and When Odysseus heard those sirens he Requested Sailor, but no one even opened it So in this way his ship Quite safely reached his home.

Strategy comes in handy to us whenever we want to study, whether it is in school or college and for competitive exams or placement The first thing that stops us from studying is destruction and today’s date our average Attention span is falling.

Because we have phones We have tablets, we have laptops, we have 24/7 internet We have YouTube, Instagram We have WhatsApp, and everything is available In such times, the first principle that We have to start studying is the Odyssey strategy.

we have to cut off our distractions and Odysseus is why you are successful He knew that his goal was not to go to heaven He did not want to go to heaven, he was silent He did not want to go, his goal was to reach home In the same way, we should know that our goal What is it? Am I on Instagram? Followers Want to increase your engagement Or do you want to reach somewhere in life If you are sitting to study, your goal should already be clear in your mind and we should study by cutting off all distractions.

Switch off your phone or else Keep it on silent mode in another room We should always study by staying away from our phones In fact if your laptop is also not less If it is not just booked, then we should keep the laptop aside and study so that no Distraction notification is stopping us From moving forward towards our goal.

Pareto Principal:

The second strategy which we will use That is the Pareto Principal, The principal says that in the world 80% output comes from 20% input. and this is true in all these general things i.e.

if you live in a city then 80% of the crimes that happen in the city are not committed by all the people it is only done by 20% of the city.

If you have worked on projects in school or college then what happens in group projects, not all people work even in group projects there are 20% of the people who complete 80% of the projects, that is, five if there is a group of people, then only one person must be working the most.

This thing applies in exams in such a way that it is not necessary that if you have been taught 100 topics, then in the exam only 100 topics will come, that is why smart work our strategy should be that is, once we all Check the syllabus Read it, read it, read it Look at the topics but after that end What we have to do is to look at our previous year Questions of the previous year

We will be looking at the question paper of the class Assignments or tests given in class We will analyze their questions plus We will analyze the notes of such a child Who has attended classes regularly and now

The best thing is to attend classes regularly We have to attend classes and then take the exam Study on time but if we are not able to do it due to any reason then we should have Notes of at least one student Who is either a topper One who makes very good notes or one who regularly attends classes, then from these four resources, we will find common questions, common topics, common things which have a very high probability of appearing in your exams. So once we have seen the entire syllabus,

but the most we have to focus on is those common topics which come under these four things so those will be our 20% resources on which we have to put 80% effort so that we get maximum result.

Space Repetition

The third principle that we have to follow is space repetition that is, there should be a fix stall in which we can focus. After that take as mall break and then again take a fixed break we should study with focus and then again take a short break for this thing is also called Pomodoro and technique in which you are told that you should sit for 25 minutes and reduce your focus within then take a break of 5 minutes and then again

Reduce your focus for 25 minutes and then again take a break of 5 minutes and in this way when your three sessions are completed we can take a long break but it is not necessary you need to sit for 25 minutes like I feel that 25 minutes is less for me

so I don’t sit for minimum 1 hour So I try to sit for one and half hours and then I take a break. So if you feel that your syllabus is too much then you can sit for more hours with focus and more hours in that means 3 hours it is not 4 hours, you have to give yourself a little break in between, and you can keep this break small too many students have doubts

there are students whose exams are not near yet, many weeks are left, the month is left, so those students who have time slots to sit, it can be fewer means we can sit for less time but as soon as your exams are coming up, take it, is the exam tomorrow or three-four days have passed or this week itself If it is within What can we do more about it We can sit focused for a long time like this What will happen if we have to sit for a long time In the exam also, then we will have Good preparation for that thing will be done.

Parkinson’s Law

The fourth principle The one we have to follow is Parkinson’s Law Have you ever noticed that when we are given an assignment In the class, if the deadline is after a week So when will I do it? I will sit and do it on the last day.

If the deadline is tomorrow So when will I do it? If I do it today itself, then as much as I can do for less so when an assignment is given set a deadline for yourself so the work will done with time It gives you so much pleasure because when you give importance to your work and set deadline on my own The work has been done and will not burdens on your head.

Active Recall

The fifth principle that we have to follow is That is active recall That means whenever we are making notes normally during exam time we always have to understand it first Then we have to think and write inside the notes, that is, we should read the topic completely once and then analyze and understand it, only after that we have to make notes after thinking about it, this thing helps a lot in long term.

because whenever we have to remember something for a long time, we think about it again and again, if I have understood the topic once and then I am writing about it after thinking then what will happen all the content is getting shifted from my short term memory to my long term memory and it is shifting to long term memory means I will remember it for a long time.

Along with this, another thing that we can do is that whenever we are studying we can sit with a craft notebook in which we can make some notes or we can keep the notebook aside and talk to a wall and tell it about our notes. what was written on the top of the page in this way we remain more of a guest the more engaged we are, the less distracted we are, the more actively we will think about things and the more they will stay in our memory for a long time so this is our punch principles which we should always apply and We are studying because this will make our test and the most efficient form will come out.
